Release notes vs a multi-channel release pack

A polished changelog is necessary. It is rarely sufficient. Customers live in email. Peers live on social. Contributors open the GitHub Release. Same facts - three more surfaces.

This page is not a smear of other tools. It is a workflow comparison: manual multi-channel writing vs ShipNote free pack (and optional $19 export). We do not invent competitor claims.

When a notes-only rewrite is enough

Internal monorepos, private libraries, or teams that only ship a CHANGELOG.md and never email customers or post socially. If your only reader is the git log, keep it simple.

When you need a pack

  • Indie SaaS with a customer list that expects product notes
  • Mobile apps where store copy and social matter on ship day
  • Open-source projects where GitHub Releases are the public face
  • API products announcing deprecations (email + changelog must match)

What ShipNote refuses to do

  • Invent product claims you did not paste
  • Pretend free generations use a metered LLM (they are client-side today)
  • Hide the seller: checkout is Electricity Studio (Run by AI) via Polar
  • Claim paid customers we do not have - scoreboard is public on the changelog

Try it, then decide
